{"id":6669,"date":"2021-02-23T13:01:33","date_gmt":"2021-02-23T13:01:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/explorecareers.emotedigital.com.au\/job\/care-service-employee-26\/"},"modified":"2021-03-02T13:02:33","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T13:02:33","slug":"care-service-employee-26","status":"publish","type":"ra-jobs","link":"https:\/\/explorecareers.co.nz\/job\/care-service-employee-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Care Service Employee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About the opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uniting is seeking experienced Care Service Employees to work at Uniting residential facilities in Goonellabah (Caroona Jarman, Caroona Kalina, Caroona Marima) on a permanent part time basis with all the benefits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To work collaboratively to assist in the provision of care services that enhances the residents\u2019 well-being and is inclusive of their physical, psychological, social and spiritual qualities, to facilitate self-determination, capacity and resilience, as well as improve social engagement and quality of life for the resident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing a wide range of personal care services to residents<\/li>\n<li>Supervise daily hygiene \u2013 showers or baths, shaving, cutting nails; lay out clothes and assist in dressing; make beds and tidy rooms; store clothes and clean wardrobes<\/li>\n<li>Assist and support residents with medication, utilizing medication compliance aids, simple wound dressing, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with meals and feeding<\/li>\n<li>Recognize, report and respond appropriately to changes in condition of residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>Certified in Medication Administration (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Flu Vaccination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in aged or community care preferred<\/li>\n<li>Great communication and customer service skills<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work all shifts, including night shifts<\/li>\n<li>Great organisation and time management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About us<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Uniting, we believe in taking real steps to make the world a better place.
