We commit to respecting children and take action to keep them safe.<\/p>\n<p>As an organisation we celebrate our diversity and welcome all people regardless of lifestyle choices, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>We are<strong>&nbsp;bold, imaginative, respectful<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>compassionate.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uniting is seeking experienced Care Service Employees, to work at Uniting Care Koombahla in Elermore Vale on a&nbsp;part time permanent basis, to work collaboratively as a care team member to assist in the provision of care services that enhances the residents\u2019 well-being and is inclusive of their physical, psychological, social and spiritual qualities, to facilitate self-determination, capacity and resilience, as well as improve social engagement and quality of life for the resident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing a wide range of personal care services to residents<\/li>\n<li>Supervise daily hygiene \u2013 showers or baths, shaving, cutting nails; lay out clothes and assist in dressing; make beds and tidy rooms; store clothes and clean wardrobes<\/li>\n<li>Assist and support residents with medication utilizing medication compliance aids; simple wound dressing, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with meals and feeding<\/li>\n<li>Recognize, report and respond appropriately to changes in condition of residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current First Aid Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Flu vaccination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good insight into the health, social or aged care services industries<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in aged or community care<\/li>\n<li>Great communication and customer service skills and the ability to get along easily with others<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work all shifts, including night shifts<\/li>\n<li>A gift for working collaboratively with a team and confident flying solo<\/li>\n<li>Great understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and risk management practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits &amp; culture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Uniting is proud to be an EEO employer.
