Foyer Central is Uniting’s bold new social impact investment program that demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing innovative and evidence-based programs. 

Based in Sydney’s CBD, this role is responsible for working with young people from 18-22 years who have exited out of home care.

Working 4 nights per week on a roster, you will supervision and support of young people living within Foyer Central.

The emphasis will be on supporting students with everyday living activities, education and/or employment opportunities with a focus on transitioning into independent living.

The Youth Development Coach will be part of a highly skilled team who share a commitment to shared ways of working and shared language ensuring the Foyer Central framework is embedded within the program.

  • Play a key operational role to provide links between the young people and community to be part of a young person’s journey to independence.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences and/or demonstrated relevant work experience with young people.
  • Knowledge of multiple service systems and the support that young vulnerable people leaving OOHC require to transition to independence.
  • Passion for working with young people and a sound knowledge of the issues faced by young people.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence, WWCC and Police Check with the ability to work flexible hours.
