Closing in 9 hoursJoin us as our Graduate Energy Engineer, reporting to our Infrastructure and Assets Manager this newly created position will be based at our Canterbury Site in Ashburton. There will be a requirement for some travel to our Sites around New Zealand.
This position will see you support ANZCOs energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects across the business while supporting ANZCOs site engineering teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide support to create and present an energy savings program at ANZCO Foods Canterbury that can be rolled out across all sites
• Create an energy use baseline considering process and product variations across the ANZCO processing sites
• Identify Energy savings and decarbonisation opportunities
• Lead or provide support to implement the agreed workplan with the view to achieve 50% of the identified energy savings or decarbonisations opportunities
• Provide practical support across business units to reduce energy use and reporting performance aligned with the Triple M project
• Undertake energy and decarbonisation related projects.
• Audit ANZCOs energy use and energy sources.
• Assist to develop accurate carbon reporting and identify initiatives to reduce ANZCOs carbon footprint.
• Attend regular climate change and sustainability/energy related meetings.
• Contribute to communication and awareness to highlight the need for energy conservation and carbon management.
• Make recommendations on proposed next steps on energy savings against baseline.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, energy management or similar
• Intermediate computing and application skills
• Passion for the climate change and sustainability and supporting ANZCO to make a positive difference to the environment
• Experience and practical understanding of the energy field
