An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Home and Community Care team on a Full-time permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating and leading the implementation of clinical policies and practices throughout the services and provide clinical expertise to clients, families and employees. This role is based in Orange – Central West.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Providing support, education and mentorship to Support Advisors, Registered and Enrolled Nurses where applicable
- Maintaining professional development to align with professional standards and organisational principles
- Delivering care for older people who require person-centred clinical nursing support in a way that is safe and fulfils the ideals of the person
- Providing clinical nursing care for older people within an environment of increasing acuity
- Sharing a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, experience and skills in providing complex nursing care directed to Home and Community Care clients, families and employees
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to your own vehicle
- Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Educator position
- 4+ years of Community or Residential RN experience
- Experience leading a small team
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary aged care clinical practice
- Strong assessment and written documentation skills
- Sound negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills
