About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi 

Start your career with one of Āotearoa New Zealand’s largest companies and gain a NZ certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering and a fully funded apprenticeship.  You will work in a large manufacturing environment with a supportive team of technical trades professionals while earning a competitive salary.

 Work at fleet services build site in Morrinsville where we assemble our new milk tankers and prepare them for milk collection across New Zealand, with a focus on qualifying with a NZ Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering. If your passion is working with diesel trucks in a heavy automotive workshop but with a specialised focus on the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic components this apprenticeship is for you.  Work on servicing and repairs, fault finding and diagnosis as well as installations with a focus on electrical and electronic systems.

About you | Ko wai Koe 

Our ideal applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Achieved or in the process or achieving NCEA Level 2 with Maths and English
  • An interest and aptitude in hands-on engineering work
  • A passion to qualify and build a career in your chosen field
  • Restricted driver’s licence (by the time you start the apprenticeship in January 2025)
  • Keen interest in solving problems, a curiosity to learn and being able to work in different situations with different people
  • Completion of a pre-trade course in a related subject would be awesome but not a necessity
  • New Zealand citizen, Australian citizen, a Permanent Resident in Āotearoa New Zealand
  • 16+ years old
