Apprenticeships & Traineeships
Trade Apprenticeships
Hanson offers apprenticeships at all certificate levels, up to the Advanced Diploma. Our program is structured around nationally recognised training qualifications, so you can apply your knowledge from TAFE in a real world environment.
Quarry Traineeships
Hanson’s Extractive Industries Package trains TAFE students and school-leavers for a rewarding quarry career. The program is available at all our quarry operations around Australia and requires only enrolment in a Certificate III TAFE course.
We currently have more than 300 quarry employees completing quarry traineeships.
School-Based Traineeships for Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturing
This traineeship is targeted at Year 11 and 12 students who wish to extend their knowledge and skills to learn about concrete batching or technology at one of our plants or laboratories. The opportunity enables the successful candidate to extend their knowledge and skills in a professional workplace, whilst still studying at school.
With the supervision and assistance from our highly qualified management team, trainees learn about the plant, how it operates and how the final product is achieved.

Graduates
Hanson’s Management Development Program provides hard-working graduates with the opportunity to work alongside some of the most experienced people in the construction industry. Our graduate program allows individuals to gain experience in a diverse range of operations including quarries, concrete, logistics, precast, technical and finance.
As part of the Hanson Management Development Program, you’ll receive.
A starting salary of $AUD 55,000 plus superannuation

Drivers
Drivers are one of our largest and most important employee groups. We strive to recruit professional drivers with a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and grow.
Drivers can learn to operate a number of different vehicles, such as, Mini Agitators and Tippers, 8 Wheelers, Twinsteers and Cement Tankers. Drivers can also progress into roles such as Driver Training, Batching, Supervision and Management.
